KEY INGREDIENTS:

Jojoba Oil: Technically a "liquid wax," jojoba oil is the superstar of the skincare world, because it most closely mimics the natural oil present in skin. Studies have shown jojoba oil to have an anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effect, as well as aiding in skin aging and wound healing. [1]

Avocado Oil:  Avocados have a long history in Central and South America.  Archaeologists have found avocado seeds buried with Incan mummies from 750 BCE! [2]  Avocado oil does wonderful things for the skin. A 2013 study found the linoleic acid, oleic acid, and other monosaturated fatty acids present in avocado oil to speed wound healing, reduce inflammation, and boost collagen production. [3]

Sacha Inchi Oil: Sacha Inchi, also known as the "Inca Peanut," has been cultivated by the indigenous people of Peru for centuries.  The oil is incredibly high in essential fatty acids, and especially high in linoleic acid [4], making it an exceptional skincare ingredient for evening skin tone, and reducing fine lines and wrinkles.

Borage Oil: Derived from the seeds of the sweet little starflower, this oil is high is the essential fatty acids that are vital for skin structure and function [5].  Studies have shown it to normalize skin barrier function and reduce transepidermal water loss. [6]

Multigrain Complex (hydrolyzed proteins of quinoa, rice and amaranth): Both Amaranth and Quinoa are nutrient dense super foods that have been cultivated in South America for centuries, while rice is a staple grain in Peruvian cuisine. The hydrolyzed proteins of these grains  are an excellent source of vitamins and minerals such as iron, magnesium, phosphorus, copper, manganese, calcium, potassium, vitamin B1, vitamin B2,  and niacin.

Palo Santo Essential Oil:  Palo Santo or "Holy Wood" has been used historically by the ancient Incas for spiritual purification, energy cleansing and healing. [7] In aromatherapy, it is believed to relieve stress, anxiety, and promote relaxation.

Cacao Essential Oil: Cacao has been used as medicinally and ritually by many indigenous peoples of South America for centuries. The botanical name for the Cocoa tree is Theobroma cacao, meaning "Food of the Gods." [8] With is warm, sweet, sensuous aroma, the oil from the Cacao bean can have a profound mood lifting effect!
